TRAINING
The Accredited National Industry Training Course for people wanting to enter the Newsagency Industry, it is being conducted by the ANF in their offices at St Leonards and will become an essential part of training before you buy your newsagency.
It is a competency based program which is intended to give a base level of skills and knowledge prior to entry into the industry. This will support and fast track learning which was traditionally gained on the job.
It is supported and endorsed by the following major industry trading partners:
ACP, News Ltd, Fairfax, Gordon & Gotch, John Sands and Hallmark.
It consists of a five day program that provides the key elements of running a newsagency and aims to provide increased business awareness and enhanced likelihood of business success.
It will provide a benchmark base for business operations, which ensures the means to improve the business through continued skill development.
This course is run in each State capital as the need arises and is timed to coincide with all State Lotteries programs being conducted.

This coupled with the four days Lottery training and will put you in the best position to then handle the three weeks on the job training provided by the outgoing owner. You should aim to get as much training possible.
